NEW STUDIO COLLABORATION WITH 3 137:  WHERE THERE IS SEA THERE ARE PIRATES

10 November - 20 November 2016 (Celebratory buffet Saturday 12 November) at 3 137, Mavromichali 137, Exarcheia, Athens

NEW STUDIO is pleased to announce a group show 'Where there is Sea there are Pirates' opening at 3 137 artist-run space, Athens, and curated by Poppy Bowers.

Inspired by the Greek proverb 'Where there is Sea there are Pirates', the exhibition brings together sound, drawing, printmaking, film and text-works by artists who subvert conventional modes of mass communication.  In a digitally-saturated epoch, where capitalism reigns supreme, the show offers alternative and transcendental perspectives on our daily experiences.

The exhibition features works by Salvatore Arancio, Jeremy Deller, Nancy Holt and Richard Serra, Theo Michael, Melvin Moti, Nina Papaconstantinou, Aura Satz and Weronika Trojanska.
